THE LIGHTHOUSE JOINED MOVIE SCREENING AT THE HOUSE OF THE ROYAL NETHERLANDS EMBASSY AND RECOMMENDATION OF CHRISTMAS MOVIE FOR LGBTIQ+ FRIENDs 😎

Last night (December 14, 2022), within the framework of the event “Presentation of Queer movies and Documentaries” – An event in which The Lighthouse team is one of the organizers. The representative of The Lighthouse had an evening enjoying the movie “Just Friends” with excellent food and drinks in a cozy space at the Dutch ambassador’s residence under the warm reception of the Second Secretary of Political, Press and Cultural Affairs – Ms. Marieke Walraven.

♥️ The screening received the participation of the Belgian ambassador, Mr. Karl Van Den Bossche, the film’s producer – Roen Kiewik, and representatives from Document Our History Now, LumiQueer, and other guests attending the screening.

“Just Friends” takes the audience to the picturesque scenery of the Netherlands with colorful fields, windmills, and beautiful and gentle beaches. Along with that is the gentle love story of Joris – a Dutch guy who is passionate about gymnastics and Yad – a guy who immigrated to Syria. Revolving around that is endless laughter built through everyday situations from two families of two boys represented by funny and lovely mothers and grandmothers.

🎙 The film also uses a lot of music by Sufjan Stevens – The main composer for the soundtrack of “Call Me By Your Name” and that makes “Just Friends” a great choice for those who want to enjoy movies with the same atmosphere as “Call Me By Your Name”. Combined with sipping the signature apple juice of the real ambassador will bring The Lighthouse team a very wonderful experience.
