🏳️🌈 WORLD AIDS DAY STATEMENT AND A CALL TO ACTION OF THE VIETNAM LGBTQI+ COMMUNITY
Within the framework of the 4th Vietnam National LGBTIQ+ Forum Stronger Together Summit 2022, Lighthouse Social Enterprise and the LGBTIQ+ community at the Forum have released a Statement and Call to Action on the occasion of World AIDS Day 2022 to the LGBTIQ+ community, social organizations, stakeholders and government agencies for effectively responding to end AIDS.
The statement demonstrates the determination of the LGBTIQ+ community in Vietnam in the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Currently, there are still 242,000 people living with AIDS but with updates in treatment methods, people living with HIV/AIDS can still live a healthy and inclusive life through HIV testing, PrEP and U=U.
As an organization that consistently aims for the health and rights of the LGBTIQ+ community and young key populations, people living with HIV, Lighthouse strongly commits to work collaboratively with other activists, advocates, agencies and government to fight against HIV/AIDS.
