LIGHTHOUSE BECOMES A PARTNER OF TIKTOK IN THE #FORYOURPRIDE CAMPAIGN.

As an ally of the LGBTI+ community, TikTok has launched the #ForYourPride campaign as a global annual campaign since 2021. To celebrate Pride Month 2023, TikTok officially launched the global annual #ForYourPride (#TuHaoDaSac) campaign to celebrate and empower the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexuals, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual+) community to express themselves freely.

In this campaign, Lighthouse is a partner of TikTok, serving as a bridge to connect TikTok with the community, providing information and promoting inclusive aspects, especially for minority communities that have less presence and voice, such as gender non-binary people, asexual people, and minority LGBTI+ people, etc., to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive image for the community.

As one of the community advocators, Mr. Doan Thanh Tung, Lighthouse’s Director: “We understand that the LGBTI+ community still faces many limitations and difficulties in sharing, loving, and living freely. For LGBTI+ people, having an understanding and supportive environment is particularly important. This is also the mission that Hai Dang Social Work Center pursues towards a fair, equal, and healthy future for the community. Through this #ForYourPride campaign, we acknowledge and welcome TikTok’s efforts in building a civilized environment and creating creative opportunities for the LGBTI+ community in Vietnam and around the world. We call on diverse individuals in the LGBTI+ community to share their colors and stories, transmit energy and inspiration to others towards a better and more humane society.“

The #ForYourPride campaign in Vietnam (#TuHaoDaSac) is expected to take place throughout Pride Month with a variety of cultural and artistic events for the LGBTI+ community, such as Rainbow Market, Love Parade, casting for LGBTI+ acting talents, sharing sessions, workshops on LGBTI+, gender and sexuality diversity, anti-harassment, discrimination, etc.
