The “Rainbow Youth Academy” is a project coordinated by The Lighthouse Social Enterprise, aiming at capacity building and training for LGBTI+ individuals in the whole of Vietnam. The project focuses especially on rights and equality advocacy for Vietnamese LGBTI+ communities. The project would be organized during the period from 2022 to 2024 (3 years). The classes have 03 main themes:
- Leadership
- Participatory Research with the supervising and leading from the community.
- Communication and Advocacy
During 2022, there had been 03 classes covering 03 themes organized by The Lighthouse, attracting more than 70 participant slots from young LGBTI+ throughout Vietnam.
The project is a part of “Rainbow Voice – Improve the Participation of LGBTI+ Children and Youths on Gender and sexual diversity in the policy advocacy in Vietnam” under the sponsorship of The Norwegian Organization for Sexual and Gender Diversity).
